Sharia Law

We believe that Sharia Law is not compatible with the Bible or the United States Constitution. We do not believe in the concept of forcing a person to adhere to a specific religion or the condoned violence of Sharia Law.

Sharia Law
Posted April 24, 2015

Sharia Law is a very real and dangerous threat to America. It directly opposes the freedom which the United States Constitution protects, yet diligent effort is being made to allow Sharia Law in the courts of America. Several states have passed laws which ban Sharia in their state. Michigan needs to do the same!

Legislation was introduced in Michigan in 2011 (HB4769) which would prohibit a court from enforcing a foreign law if it would violate a right of an individual recognized by the U.S. constitution. Why would our legislatures not do everything possible to pass this law? It died in committee. A similar bill was introduced in the Senate in 2011 (SB701) which would ban contracts that use foreign law if it violates an individuals rights recognized by the constitution. This bill also died in committee. Contact your state legislatures and encourage them to ban Sharia Law in Michigan!
